Brian O'ROURK Obituary
Brian's Rosary will be held at Cathedral of Our Lady of Lourdes at 1115 W. Riverside, Spokane, WA 99201, on June 20th, at 5:30 PM. His Funeral Mass will be held at the same location on June 21st, at 1:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Brian's name to the Brian O'Rourk Athletic Memorial fund at chestertonacademyofnotredame.org/donate and at spokanecathedral.com/give. I flew with 'Lefty' and deployed with him overseas numerous times. He was a great pilot, and an even better person. Always gracious, quick with a smile, but also not shy about calling you out if you were 'out of bounds'.
I'm not surprised that his last thoughts and actions were focused on his sons and not upon himself.
More importantly, however, is that he would have had the same concern if it were strangers with him on that airplane.
Rest in Peace brother. I'm sure angels were there to meet you.

The Christmas Bureau family of volunteers and agency partners is grieving the loss of Brian, as he and Therese were ardent advocates of our program. They helped to carry on the Conley family tradition of supporting our mission by providing "Penelope" the White Elephant ride for our clients to enjoy. Brian was a dedicated husband, beloved son and father, and he will be missed greatly. We extend our prayers of support to Therese, their children, and the O'Rourk, Conley, Imburgia, and Condon families as they journey through this time of tremendous loss and grief.
