Bruce W. JOHNSON

(Age 92)

Bruce passed away peacefully at Life Care Center in Post Falls, ID on August 15, 2025. He was born in Quincy, MI, to Imo and Sepher Johnson on October 21, 1932. Bruce graduated from West Valley High School in 1950. Prior to serving in the Air Force in Fairbanks, AK, he married Donna Fish, and they had a daughter Gaye. Upon completion of his military service, he and his family settled into a home on 2nd St. in Liberty Lake, WA, and a son Denzel was born. Bruce and his brother Butch co-owned Johnson Trailer Sales, a very successful business they had taken over from their father, and later Bruce owned and operated Johnson Trailer Repair. Bruce lived in the Liberty Lake community for over 50 years where he served as a SCOPE volunteer and in 2016, he was given the honor of serving as Grand Marshal of the Liberty Lake, 4th of July parade. Following Bruce's divorce, he married Marge Langman in 1967. In retirement he and Marge spent their winters in Yuma, AZ, while many fun summer days with friends and family were spent at their place on the North Fork of the Coeur D'Alene River. Bruce was an avid hunter and often packed into the backcountry of northern Idaho with brother Butch, family and friends. He also loved rock hunting and collecting and helping Marge with her ceramics. He was a very kind and generous man and absolutely loved his grandkids. Bruce is preceded in death by his wife Marge (56 years of marriage), parents Imo and Sepher, sister Beverly Schultz, granddaughter Vanessa Chambers. He is survived by his children, Denzel Johnson (Kerry), Gaye Johnson, stepchildren Mark Langeman and Julie, brother Butch Johnson (Kymn), sister Bobbie Larsen (Brian Schreck), grandchildren Amanda, Jennifer, and Kristen, seven great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank the staff at Life Care Center of Post Falls, and Rose Pointe Assisted Living for their kind and loving care of Bruce. A private celebration of life for the family will be held at a later date.
