Claudia COOK

Claudia spent the entirety of her life in Spokane. Born to her beloved parents Dr. Richard and Mildred McCartan, Claudia was known to be a woman of extraordinary nurture and compassion. She was a social worker for over 40 years, spending much of that time at North Central Care Center where she was known to go above and beyond for residents and their families. Nothing was more important to Claudia than family. She is survived by her husband of 42 years, Tom; as well as her five siblings, Patrick (Virginia), Teresa (Greg), Elizabeth (Rayfe), Marie (Russel), and Tim (Erin); and her numerous nieces and nephews whom she cared for deeply. Being a mother to her daughter Kelli was one of her greatest joys. She was known to offer that loving nurture that only a mother could provide to so many others who needed it. She never wanted anyone to leave this earth without feeling that they had a friend and she was consistently willing to be that friend. By her wishes, no formal service will be held, and in lieu of flowers, a donation to charity of your choice.
