Daniel Davis Obituary

DAVIS, Daniel Ray (Age 51) Dan was born in Spokane on April 15th, 1958 and passed January 21, 2010 in his home with his wife and mother at his side. Dan's family spent 10 years in Fresno, CA beforereturning to Spokane when he was 15. He attended Mead High School, graduating in 1977. He worked for Grainger Industrial Supply Co. for sever- al years, and then worked for Spears, Ennis, and 1st Ave. Furniture before starting his own business,"Dan's Mobile Furniture Repair" which he enjoyed very much until his health required him to sell. Dan married Nancy Wise in 1981. They enjoyed almost 29 years together; they were the best of friends. Dan enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping, restoring furniture, and his 1971VW Bug. He loved watching football, an avid Pittsburg Steelers fan from an early age. As his health failed enjoyed backyard fires and barbecues with his many friends and family. Dan is survived by his wife Nancy; their son Dustin (Krysta) and grandson Gavin, all of Spokane; parents John and Donna Davis of Spokane Valley; brother Clint (Kathy) Davis of Usk, WA; sisters DebraAshley of Mountain View, CA and Colleen (Steve) Auble of Usk, WA; mother-in-law Eileen Wise of Spokane; plus many loving in-laws, aunts, uncles,nephews, nieces and cousins, and too many to name special friends. Dan was preceded in death by his grandparents Willard and Claudia Davis, Ethal Kossman, father-in-law Richard Wise, and beloved dog Steeler. The family would like to say a special thank you to the staff at Holy Family Hospital, for taking such wonderful care of Dan, and to the amazing folks at the Hospice of Spokane, you are all earth angels. We will all miss you so much dear - All my love. always and forever, your sweetie "Nanner" A celebration of Dan's life will take place at 1:00pm, Saturday, February 6th, at Northwood Presbyterian Church, 6721 N. Monroe Street, Spokane, WA, with Rev. Sue Keim officiating.Memorial contributions may be made in Dan's name to Hospice of Spokane, and please if you don't or haven't already, become a blood and organ donor. SPOKANE CREMATION & BURIAL SERVICE.

Nancy,
Working so many years with Larry, I feel like I knew you both well even though we only met once, but I did have the chance to see Dan on occasions when he stopped by the office and had the pleasure to laugh with the emails he sent, of which, I will miss receiving. My thoughts and prayers go out to both Dan, you and your family. Take Care and God Bless!
