Daniel YAMADA Obituary
Daniel Carl Yamada, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away surrounded by family on July 30, 2025, in his hometown of Spokane, Washington, at the age of 69. Dan was born on December 29, 1955, to Carl and Evelyn Yamada (Harty).
On June 15, 1979, Dan married the love of his life, Karen Gothberg, in Spokane. Together, they built a beautiful life raising three sons: Stephen, Adam, and Andrew.
Dan worked for 25 years as a Fireman Pourer Operator at Kaiser Aluminum.
He cherished every moment spent with his grandchildren, Cameron (Tasha), Colby, Kylie, Kaelyn, and Joycelynn and his great-granddaughter, Adaline May, whom he all loved deeply.
Dan is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Karen Yamada; sons Stephen (Amber) Yamada of Spokane, Adam (Britt) Yamada of Soap Lake, and Andrew Yamada of Spokane; brothers Ken Yamada and Joe Yamada, sister Cathy Hansen; his grandchildren and great-granddaughter."

Danny will be sorely missed. So many memories of all the years our families have known each other, especially Curt and Danny. I am so sorry for your loss.

My heart is deeply saddened by the loss of Danny.
He was a lifelong friend and will forever hold a special place in our hearts as part of the Lay family. Danny and Karen have stood by us through life´s most difficult moments and celebrated with us during the joyful ones. Their love and support have meant the world to us.
I´m truly sorry I´m unable to fly back to say my goodbyes in person. I will deeply miss our conversations and the warmth Danny always brought.
Rest in power, Danny.
