Darlene DAVENNY Obituary

September 1, 1936 - August 18, 2025

Spokane - Darlene Jean Davenny was called home to be with her Lord and Savior on August 18th, 2025, in Spokane, WA, passing away peacefully at age 88.

Darlene was born on September 1st, 1936, in Spokane, WA to Belle and Roy Vervair. She graduated from Lewis and Clark High School and earned an Associate of Arts degree from Spokane Community College.

On December 30th, 1956, Darlene married William Forrest Davenny in Spokane, WA. Darlene served the business community for many years as an employee of Washington Trust Bank, and she later taught a very popular Bank Teller Training course through Spokane Community College.

Darlene inspired friends and family alike as an avid runner and participated in many Bloomsdays. She was an active member of Hamblen Park Presbyterian Church for many decades and served as a leader in Bible Study Fellowship. She loved trips to Mazatlán, Mexico and RV'ing with friends and family.

Darlene was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, sister and friend. She was a blessing to everyone who had the pleasure to know her. Her positive, cheerful disposition in life was contagious. Darlene was preceded in death by both her parents; her husband Bill; and brother Richard Vervair. She is survived by her sons Brian (Bobbin) Davenny and Jeffrey (Denise) Davenny; her grandchildren Aaron (Kailey) Davenny and April (Peyton) Parker, Matthew Davenny and Christian Davenny; her brother Roy (Candy) Vervair; two great-grandsons; and many nieces and nephews.
