Darrell SCHMIDT Obituary
27 October 1949 – 10 October 2021
Darrell Benjamin Schmidt," Papa," went home to be with his Lord and Savior, Sunday, October 10, 2021.
Survived by his wife, Sherry Lemmons Schmidt, he was father to Jeremy (Lesley), Andrea, Joshua, and Nevaeh, stepdad to TJ, Jenifer Groh, grandfather to Korynne (Neal) and Tira, and great-grandfather to Bruce and Brooke, uncle to many nieces and nephews and a cousin to many spread across the country.
He was the son of Ernie and Ada Hemman Schmidt, brother to Darlene Burt (Gene), Donna Buckner (Randy), Ron, and Leon (Sue).
Darrell was the ultimate family man. He loved everyone in his family, young and old, near and far.
He loved spending time with his family at Priest Lake, Schweitzer, The PI, and watching the Seahawks, just to name a few of his favorite activities.
Darrell had a long construction career in the inland Northwest doing tile and remodeling houses. Many families and companies have examples of his great tile work.
Darrell, Dad, Papa, loved his beautiful blended family more than anything. His special nicknames, his great sense of humor and his presence in our lives will be deeply missed by family and friends.
Memorial service to be held at Summit Spokane Church, 1801 East 29th, Spokane, on Friday, October 22, 2021 at 2 p.m.
No flowers please, memorials in Darrell's name may be given to Summit Spokane Church, 1801 East 29th, Spokane, WA or to a charity of your choice.
