David CROCKETT Obituary

It is with profound sadness that the Crockett family announces the passing of David Warner Crockett.

David was born on August 1, 1941. He left us on Friday, April 18, 2025, surrounded by family. David was the firstborn child of David Leonard Crockett and Marie Werner Crockett and grew up in Salt Lake City, Utah. Four more children rounded out the Crockett family. Brothers, Daniel, who passed away as an infant, Mark, Leon and sister, Carolyn.

David joined the United States Air Force shortly after high school and eventually moved to Spokane, Washington, where he married Gayle Cooper in 1962. Daughter, Dana was born in 1968. In 1992, David and Glenice King married, and he became a beloved stepfather to sons, Ron, Bob, and daughter, Tana. Many family events and memories were made over the years, including trips to Montana, pumpkin carving extravaganzas, and the required Bloody Mary's following every Bloomsday race.

David's career was spent working at Washington Water Power, where he worked for 35 years and as he would tell you "6 months at Avista." David made and had many lifelong friends from his work and time at "The Water Power" and ultimately retired in 1999. Following retirement, winters were spent in Casa Grande, Arizona, summers in Big Fork, Montana, and countless adventures along the way.

David had many interests and hobbies from judging horse shows, golfing, fishing, making stained glass projects, refurbishing furniture, woodworking, gardening, traveling, and especially spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

David was preceded in death by his parents, David and Marie, as well as his brother, Daniel. He leaves behind his beloved wife, Glenice; children, Dana, Ron, Tana, Bob, and their spouses/loved ones; grandchildren, Tyler, Denysa, Kyle, Alixandria, Berkley, Chandler, Talen, and Jesse; as well as great-grandchildren, Elena, Kendrick, Kehlani, Brinley, Decker, and Daxton.

David was loved and respected by all who knew him, and he will be forever missed. There will be a celebration of life with his family, friends and loved ones at a later date.
