Family, friends, and everyone who knew Dave Harmon, will celebrate a life well-lived. Dave´s impact stretched far beyond the walls of his own home. He spent a dedicated career shaping young minds as a teacher for the West Valley School District. His passion for education undoubtedly left a lasting impression on countless students who walked through his classroom doors.
Retirement, however, wasn't an ending for Dave. It was a new chapter filled with the things he loved most: his family, his writing, and the intricate art of wood carving. Dave was an active member of the Spokane Wood Carvers Association, where he undoubtedly shared his knowledge and love for the craft with fellow enthusiasts.
But Dave wasn't just defined by his accomplishments. He was, above all, a family man. For 63 years, he shared a loving partnership with his wife Bette. Together they raised two daughters, Tani and Terri. One can see the fruits of their love - grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and even great-great-grandchildren. Dave's legacy lives on in each of you, a testament to the kind and caring man he was.
We'll remember Dave not just for his dedication to education or his exquisite wood carvings, but for his kindness, his creativity, and the love that overflowed from him. He was a man who cherished his family, embraced new things, and left his mark on the world around him.
Dave may be gone, but the lessons he taught, the stories he carved, and the love he shared will continue to inspire us all. May we each find a way to carry a piece of Dave's spirit with us, a reminder to live life with passion, creativity, and a whole lot of love.
