David OHLER Obituary

David John Ohler was born on April 12th, 1971. Jesus called him home on October 25th, 2021. David was raised in Spokane, Washington. He attended Arlington Elementary School, Garry Middle School, and graduated at Rogers High School, class of 1989. He then attended Eastern Washington University. David had a huge heart for God, his family, and friends. He was a very artistic and creative man. He loved music, gardening, art, nature, motorcycles, Star Wars, playing pool, and loved food and grilling. His wife would say, "He loved to eat anything, as long as it didn't eat him first." He was a tremendous cook who loved to entertain. He and his wife loved to share the food they made with others. He was also abundantly generous in heart in the way he loved and served others. David had a smile that would light up the room. He is survived by his wife Sengmany of 10 years, his sons and daughters, Christian, Phoenix, Koby, Jessica, Tiana, Nathan, his mother Benita, sister Alicia, brother Jason, and all his Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, Nieces and Nephews. He was preceded in death by his father Paul, his son Chayton, and Grandparents.

A service and celebration of his life will be at Calvary Spokane, Friday November 5th at 1:00 pm. Please dress colorfully in memory of David's personality and zeal for life. Reception to follow with sweets, as David had a sweet tooth. (Due to Covid-19 and vulnerable family members, masks are preferred especially when approaching the family. We know there were many wonderful people who knew and loved David. Because of this, we are having a smaller gathering with only church family, but there will be viewing of his funeral online. For any questions, please call Calvary Spokane.)

I am so sorry for your loss. David was one of our favorite people to play pool with and just be around. We are glad that he met you and had so many beautiful years together. He will be dearly missed. He was the one and only person who my husband would let tattoo him. They were still talking about doing it! For both... Family always came first and they were both so busy. If you see any artwork with Gargoyles, you know that was for Vince. He was so talented, and he had such a big heart, and you're right about the sweet tooth. I brought candy every week for all 3 gentleman on the team... They would buy my diet Pepsi because they would eat the whole bag! Lol! So many great stories... And great memories. May his artwork live on! All our blessings.

The Baumgardner Family second cousin's

November 4, 2021

To David's family and friends: I am truly saddened to learn of David's passing. While never having the opportunity to meet or know him personally, the family connection with his parents, grandfather and great uncles, this second cousin will truly be forever linked to the Baumgardner family. I can only express my sympathy to his family and friends knowing that his memory will long endure. God Bless!
