Deloris BONSER Obituary

April 17, 1948 – September 29, 2025

Deloris Bonser passed away peacefully at home on September 29, 2025, at the age of 77.

She was born on April 17, 1948, in Spokane, Washington, to Richard and Lilliana Stewart. The firstborn of six children, she was a loving big sister to her five younger brothers: Roy, Bobby, Rick, Larry, and Donald. During her childhood, Deloris lived on several Army bases throughout Europe before her family returned to Spokane in the mid-1950s.

Deloris graduated from North Central High School and later attended Spokane Falls Community College, where she met the love of her life, Fred Bonser. They were married in 1969 and shared 56 wonderful years together, filled with love, laughter, and countless cherished memories.

She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Deloris is survived by her husband, Fred; sons, Mark (Debbie) and Mike (Pam); grandchildren, Carissa, Kyle, Cameron, Riley, and Gabriel; and two great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her brothers, Roy (Lucia), Rick (Stephanie), Larry (Lourdes), and Donald (Deanna); along with numerous nieces, nephews, and great-grandchildren, all of whom she adored and doted on.

Deloris was preceded in death by her parents, Richard and Lillian Stewart; and her brother, Bobby (Olga).

Family was the center of Deloris's world. She was known for her warm heart, her incredible cooking, and her talent for planning unforgettable gatherings. Christmas was her favorite holiday, and she took great joy in decorating, baking, and bringing loved ones together to celebrate. She also loved arts and crafts, spending time with her grandchildren, and relaxing at the family's Deer Lake property - fishing, playing cards, and entertaining friends.

Deloris had a special gift for making people feel welcome. Her home was always open, her table always full, and her heart even fuller. Whether it was a holiday feast, a weekend at the lake, or a spontaneous visit, everyone who walked through her door felt like family. Her kindness, generosity, and joyful spirit created a sense of home that will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.

She will be deeply missed - and lovingly remembered.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, October 9, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. at Fairmont Sunset Chapel, 5200 W. Wellesley Ave., Spokane, WA 99005.
