Dorine L. McBRIDE

McBRIDE, Dorine L. (Schultz) (Age 86) Passed away peacefully on June 15, 2014, she was born to George and Anna Schultz on August 1, 1927 and lived on the family farm in Chattaroy her entire life. She graduated from Riverside High School in 1945. In December 1945 she married Howard R. McBride. They built a house on the farm and raised their children there. Howard and Dorine were married for 54 years. During her life Dorine worked at Northwest Seed and Pet, an apple packing shed on Green Bluff, and retired from the U.S. Postal Service after delivering mail for 25 years. She was a member of the Valley Prairie Grange, the Pomona, National Grange, and TOPS. Dorine was preceded in death by her second born, James R. McBride (b. 7/6/1954-d. 6/1955) and husband, Howard R. McBride (d. 10/2000). Dorine is survived by her children Carol and Bob Wall, Richard and Claudia McBride, and Gary and Lyn McBride, grandchildren Karin and John Gerard, Steve and Jodi Wall, Kristin and Sam Hermann, Rachel and Sara McBride, great grandchildren, Amanda Gerard, Logan Wall and Ethan Wall. In her final months Dorine was lovingly cared for by Connie Ulrick and we extend our utmost appreciation and gratitude to her. Special thanks also to nurses Ray and Becky of Horizon Hospice. Donations may be made to Horizon Hospice of Spokane. Visitation will be from 9:00AM - 5:00PM Wednesday, June 18 at RIPLINGER FUNERAL HOME, 4305 N. DIVISION, SPOKANE, WA. A "Celebration of Dorine's Life" will begin at 1:00PM Thursday, June 19, 2014 at the Chattaroy Community Church 3711 E. Chattaroy Rd., in Chattaroy.
