Doris DODGE Obituary

On August 19th, our beloved Doris Dodge peacefully joined her late husband, Bill, in heaven. Doris leaves behind two sons, Kevin and Kyle; four granddaughters, Nicole, Kady, Kelcey, and Kendyl; three great-grandchildren, Konrad, Karsyn, and Delaney. We can't forget her beloved cat, Harper. Her home was always a sanctuary of warmth and comfort, her legacy is one of boundless generosity and enduring love. She never turned anyone away, even the dozens of football players and wrestlers her sons would bring home after school. She ran a daycare out of their small home for decades, and somehow there was always space for everyone; two and four-legged alike. Doris will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and neighborhood she's been a part of since 1968. Rest in peace with Grandpa, Grandma Doris. Celebration of life to follow in October. Please reach out through social media or the old Dodge landline number.

It made me sad to hear of Doris' passing. We have lived in the same neighborhood since 1977. I can recall Doris being at the Trentwood Elementary School during recess time when I was a kid. I was blessed to be able to help her out with her daycare when she need to run the kids to school. Doris would have a gourmet homecooked lunch for those kids every day. I have my fond memories of her. My niece used to go to Doris' house to get her hair braided. Doris always did a great job on my niece as well as the other girls she has taken care of over the years. My condolences to the family and it's super sad to see the house for sale :(
