Eddie Burns Obituary

BURNS, Eddie O. (Age 82) Eddie O. Burns "Mr. Avon" was born May 31, 1927, and passed away on March 15, 2010, after an extendedbattle with cancer. He was born to Peachie Maxson Burns and Roy Burns. Eddie was preceded in death by his parents, daughter Sandra Burns and his brother Roy Burns. He issurvived by his wife of 31 years, Marge, his son Bruce Burns, daughters Shawn Triber and Shelly Triber Bajadali (Bill), seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren. He was an Army veteran of WWII. He graduated fromUniversity of the Ozarks. Eddie served as an Elder in the Presbyterian Church and retired from Conoco after working for 33 years. He was an avid golfer and a member of the Spokane Elks. Eddie was a true SouthernGentleman and was loved and will be missed by everyone who knew him.A Celebration of Life will be held at the Spokane Valley Elks Lodge 228, 2605 N. Robie Ct., on Thursday, March 25, at 2:00 PM. In lieu of flowers please consider contributions to Hospice of Spokane or the Washington State Elks Children's Therapy Program. words do not come easily--my memories of Eddie only bring me smiles and comfort cause that is the way he always made me feel--and then his big ol smile---he so new how to treat a lady--of coarse margie you had to train him i am sure---what a great man --i feel honored to have known him and his family--much love to all---kevin sends his love too---we both have so talked about what a great man he is---- hugs and comfort kay kay
