Elizabeth Ruth Ennis DAVIS

Elizabeth DAVIS Obituary

Elizabeth, 'Beth', was born on April 19, 1950, to James Atlas and Patricia Ruth Simpson at Fort Ord Station Hospital, Monterey, CA, 1 hour and 22 minutes before her twin brother Philip John. Because of her father's Navy career, Beth spent her childhood moving, living in Japan, California, North Carolina, Tennessee, Florida, Nevada, and Washington. She graduated from Lemoore High School in CA in June of 1968, and that fall started working on an AA degree in Pre-Kindergarten Education at Coalinga Junior College. She transferred to the University of Nevada Reno in the fall of 1969. Beth moved to the Spokane area in 1971. On May 29, 1976, she married Daniel Roy Davis of Spokane at her parents' home in Yerington, NV. They were blessed with 2 children: Carrie Ruth and Casey Bennett.

Beth loved children. She worked as a teacher at Spring Hill Day Care, which was located at First Free Methodist Church in Spokane. She also drove school bus for the Riverside and Spokane school districts for 25 years. She also loved animals and fed the feral that roamed the neighborhood. She enjoyed reading, crafts (especially ceramics), doing puzzles and playing games, especially the Tuesday night get-togethers at the home of her mother-in-law, Lucille. She was a member of the Deer Park Eagles Club.

Beth passed away in Spokane, WA on July 7, 2025. She was 75 years old. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dan, her children Carrie & Casey, her parents, and her brother James Reed Ennis. She is survived by her sister Jacqueline (Charles) Falkenroth, brother Philip (Glenda Drennan), Mother-in-law Lucille and sisters-in-law Melody, Robin, and Tina, and several nieces and nephews.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, August 20, 2025, at the First Free Methodist Church, 1725 Courtland Avenue, Spokane, WA. A light lunch will be served afterwards.
