Fe F. DUENAS

Fe F. Duenas a longtime member of St. Peter's Catholic Church, died on Monday, January 9, 2023, at the age of 79.

She was born to Antonio and Rosalia Flores on the island of Guam. She was the eldest daughter of 8 children.

Fe and her husband Eduardo were married in 1965 and remained so for the rest of her life. They were blessed with 6 children. Her passion was her family and her Catholic faith. Any event from religious holidays to life's special occasions or just because the sky was blue was a reason for a gathering. She always tried to feed you because it was one of the many ways she showed her love whether it was putting together a "snack" for you (which was a meal), putting together a care package with your favorites, or contributing her highly sought after red rice to a potluck. Her friendly demeanor hid a competitive spirit when it came to any kind of game: softball, mancala, board, and card games. She was especially lucky at Gin Rummy. Any loss you might have experienced would be softened up with her favorite dessert, a root beer float.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her brothers: Scott Flores and Frank Flores and her daughter, Elvajean Duenas. She is survived by her husband, Eduardo; her children and their spouses: Ed & Evelyn Duenas, Eugene & Kristi Duenas, Elizabeth & Leji Albano, Eileen & Adrian Reyes, Earl & Tonya Duenas; her grandchildren: Ainsley, Logan, Lorenzo, Antonio, Mateo, Gabriel, Parker, and Gianna. She is also survived by her three brothers, Al Flores, David Flores, and Ben Flores, and her two sisters, Mading Untalan and Liz Martinez.

A viewing will be at 5:00 pm and a rosary will be held at 6:00 pm on Thursday, January 26, 2023, at Hennessey Funeral Home 2203 N Division St, Spokane, WA 99207.

Mass for a Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 am on Friday, January 27, 2023, at St. Peter's Catholic Church on 3520 E. 18th Ave., Spokane, WA 99223. The interment will be at 12:00 pm at Holy Cross Cemetery 7200 N. Wall St., Spokane, WA 99208 where we will bid her farewell and peaceful rest.
