Flora WEAVER Obituary
November 24, 1953 - October 31, 2025
Flo departed this life for her new residence in Heaven with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. She passed away peacefully while being cared for at the Sacred Heart Medical Center in Spokane, Washington.
Born in Baguio, Philippines, to Cayetano and Aquilina Dacoco, Flo is survived by her two brothers, Carlos and Danny; and is reunited in Heaven with her beloved brothers, Salvador and Romeo.
Flo graduated from St. Louis University Pines City Doctor's Hospital School of Nursing and the University of Baguio, earning her bachelor's degree in nursing. She later immigrated to Honolulu, Hawaii, where she enlisted in the United States Air Force. After serving honorably for eight years, she returned to her nursing career, dedicating more than 30 years to caring for others at Eastern State Hospital in Medical Lake, Washington.
Her only military assignment was at Fairchild Air Force Base, where she met the love of her life, James Weaver. From the moment they met in 1982, their bond was unmistakable. They married that December and shared more than four decades together, built on deep affection, faith, and laughter. Their life was filled with shared adventures – fishing trips, camping weekends, and quiet evenings spent together.
In 1984, they welcomed their greatest joy, their son, Robert. Flo was endlessly proud of him and the man he became. Her love for Jim and Robert defined her life and was evident to all who knew her. Together, the three of them shared a closeness and devotion that was the heart of her world.
Flo courageously battled a bone marrow disease for 34 years, defying every medical expectation. Her family views those years as a grace-filled gift of time from God. She has now been called home to her eternal rest.
"And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes;
and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying,
neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away."
– Revelation 21:4
Flo will be laid to rest at the Washington State Veterans Cemetery in Medical Lake, Washington.
No service will be held. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to your favorite animal shelter, as Flo dearly loved and cared for all animals throughout her life.
