Florence "Patti" KROETCH

1932 - 2024

Florence C. "Patti" (Born) Kroetch, born November 12, 1932, passed peacefully August 21st, at age 91 years young.

Born and raised in Richardton, North Dakota, she was the eldest of Rose and Fred Born's four daughters. At 17, Patti graduated from St. Mary's High School and rode the train to Spokane, Washington to attend Gonzaga University, where she met the love of her life, Charles "Chuck" Kroetch. They married July 5, 1952. Chuck and Patti lived in Spokane most of their married life with their three children: Marc, Karen, and Juli. They founded a printing and advertising business in 1960, Kroetch and Associates, later renamed Kroma, where they worked together for 35 years. Later, Patti and Chuck moved to Spirit Lake, Idaho.

Throughout her years, Patti nurtured friendships, enjoyed waterskiing, swimming, fishing, boating, ice skating, snow skiing and even snowmobiling. Patti was a dedicated golfer with her ladies at Stoneridge and Twin Lakes. She loved reading with a passion especially with the "Friends with Books" book club. Other associations that brought her joy were Gourmet Club, The Red Hat Ladies, and The No-Alibi Snow-Ski Club.

Patti was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Kroetch, who passed away in 1995. She is survived by her three children, nine grandchildren, and twelve great-grandchildren.

Patti's vigil/rosary will be held at St. Josephs Catholic Church in Otis Orchards, on Monday, August 26th, at 6 PM and her funeral will be held on Tuesday, August 27th, at 10 AM, with reception to follow. Interment at Holy Cross Cemetery, at 1:30 PM, where she will be laid to rest next to her husband, Chuck, who has been waiting patiently for her.
