DRIVER, Gary Wayne Gary Wayne Driver (61) of Usk, Washington passed away September 13, 2009 in his home, surrounded by family and friends, in Usk, Washington. Gary was born October 12, 1947 in Spokane, Washington, the son of John and Martha Lindsey Driver. Gary graduated from Cusick High School in 1966 and then attended WSU where he studied surveying. Gary served in the United States Navy from 19671970. Gary worked on a highway department road crew in Seattle for several years before returning to the family dairy (Double D Farm) in Usk. Gary and his parents ran the dairy until 1996, at which time he became a real estate agent and the owner of North Country Realty in Newport (now known as Coldwell-Banker). On June 6, 1987 he married Kay Simons in Usk, Washington. Gary enjoyed playing golf, watching Mariners baseball, keeping up on current events and being involved in local politics. He was a member of the Newport Masonic Lodge including Master of the Lodge in 1997 and 2002. He was a lifetime member of the Calispel Grange Number 500, a ten-year 4-H member and 30-year 4-H leader in Pend Oreille County, served on the Cusick School Board, and was the dairy barn superintendent for the Pend Oreille County Fair for many years. He was actively involved in professional organizations, including the Inland Northwest Dairy Herd Improvement Association, Washington Association of Realtors, National Association of Realtors. He was a founding member of the "Usk Pinochle Club." Survivors include wife Kay at the family home; daughters Leslie (andDevon) Rowe of Vancouver, Washington, Jill (and Matthew) Stevie of Palmer, Alaska, and Jessica Driver of Usk, Washington; son Jon Paul Driver of Pullman, Washington; grandchildren Avery and Birkeley Rowe of Vancouver, Washington, and Soren Stevie of Palmer, Alaska; sister Linda (and Brian) Edwards of Moses Lake, Washington; nieces and nephews Amanda Edwards Anderson, Jennifer Edwards De Hoog, Michael Edwards and Stephen Musa all of Moses Lake, Washington. Gary was preceded in death by his parents Martha Lindsey Driver in May 2000, John Driver in February 2009, and granddaughter Jordan Emily Rowe in March 2009 at the age of three. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Newport Masonic Lodge, the Usk Community Club, and the
American Cancer Society. Graveside Services will be held at 10:30 on Saturday, September 19, 2009 at the Newport Cemetery. A memorial service will be held at the Usk Community Hall at 1:30 on Saturday, September 19, 2009. Family and friends are invited to sign the online guest book at
