Harold KELLAMS

Harold Durward Kellams (November 21, 1951 – September 26, 2025), was born in Cherry Point, North Carolina, and spent his early childhood in Evansville, Indiana. At the age of six, his family relocated to Burbank, California, where he would grow up and begin forming the values and passions that guided him throughout life. From a young age, he was determined to become a fireman, a dream that would shape both his career and his sense of purpose. That calling led him to serve honorably in the Vietnam War as a sergeant and crew chief in the U.S. Air Force Fire Department.

In 1978, Harold joined the Spokane Valley Fire Department and worked there for 28 years. Retiring in 2005, he became a private fire investigator for the Pacific Northwest. He worked for different companies until his final retirement in 2016.

Harold is survived by his devoted wife, Donna June Kellams, with whom he shared many loving years of marriage. He was a proud father to six children: H. David, Nathan, Nicolaus, Jeremiah, Shel (Luke), and Kristen (Josh). His legacy continues through his many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, all of whom brought him immense pride and joy.

A gifted craftsman with a creative mind and steady hands, Harold could fix or build just about anything. He had a lifelong passion for restoring and working with early 1900s hit-and-miss engines, and he built custom Harley-Davidson motorcycles from the ground up. His most recent project, a 1932 Willys Overland Coupe, was a true labor of love and a reflection of his dedication to craftsmanship, patience, and ingenuity.

A rosary will be held on Friday, October 3, 2025, at 7:00 p.m., at St. Paschal Catholic Parish, located at 2521 North Park Road, Spokane Valley, WA 99212. The funeral service will follow on Saturday, October 4, 2025, at 11:00 a.m., also at St. Paschal Catholic Parish.
