(Age 81)

Of Post Falls passed away peacefully at his home with his family by his side on January 4, 2011. He was born March 8, 1929 in Minneapolis, Minnesota to Art and Margaret (Andersen) Malmquist. Harry moved to Spokane with his family at the age of nine and has been residing in Post Falls since 1972. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. While working in banking, he attended night school at Whitworth College and graduated in business administration. After many years in banking he started a new career in the real estate industry.
Harry enjoyed sitting on the deck watching the river roll by but his greatest enjoyment throughout life was being with his family. His grandchildren gave him great joy and many fun memories. Harry loved telling stories of the many camping and fishing adventures with his father-in-law, Roy and his nephews Jason and Yancey. He loved singing with the "Harmonizers" and in the choir at Christ the King Lutheran Church.
Harry is survived by his devoted wife, Donna at their home; a daughter, Sheri and son-in-law, John P. Roberge of Spokane Valley; grandchildren, Jenalee and Phil Elle, Aaron Roberge and Kailee Roberge and great-granddaughter, Makena Elle all of Boise, ID; a son, Gary Malmquist and grandchildren, Vanessa Malmquist and Michael Malmquist all of Seattle, WA; a daughter, Sharon Malmquist of Challis, WA; a sister and brother-in-law, Maryann and Don Murray and a sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Lynda and Bud Bowman all of Spokane; five nephews, two nieces and spouses; and fourteen great- nephews and nieces.
