Anne Levison Obituary

Anne Lehmann Levison Anne Lehmann Levison passed away on March 16, 2009 in Palo Alto after a long battle with Parkinson's disease. Anne is remembered lovingly for her generosity of spirit, her elegance, and her dedication to her family, friends, and environmental causes. Anne was the loving wife of the late Robert M. Levison, Jr. She is survived by her children James Levison, Joan Levison, David Levison (Sandra), and Marta Levison, as well as 9 grandchildren. Her brother Armand Lehmann lives in Paris. Anne was born in San Francisco, daughter of Lucien (Mike) and Sylvia Lehmann. She attended Lowell High School and Stanford University. She and Robert lived in Atherton for the 57 years of their marriage. Active in many environmental groups, she also was the host to innumerable foreign students from Stanford through the Home Stay Program. In the 1970s, Anne was very involved with Interplast. Anne and Robert were founding members of Temple Beth Am in Los Altos and long-time members of Temple Emanu El in San Francisco. A Memorial Service is planned for April 21, Tues., at 2:00 p.m. at the Allied Arts Guild, 75 Arbor Rd, Menlo Park. Donations in Anne's honor may be made to Interplast, 857 Maude Ave., Mountain View, CA 94043 or to Parkinson's Institute, 675 Almanor Ave., Sunnyvale, CA 94085
