Jack EVENOFF Obituary

EVENOFF,
Jack
(Age 79)

Local respected business owner and a man of his word, Jack Evenoff, passed away peacefully in his home on September 20, 2012. Jack was born on August 5, 1933 in Bemidji, Minnesota. He attended Garfield Elementary and graduated from North Central High School, where he was an exceptional athlete scoring the first touchdown in Joe Albi Stadium while playing quarterback. After high school Jack joined the Army where he served in the Korean War. Upon his completion of service, Jack returned to Spokane where he married his high school sweetheart, Shirley, and enjoyed 56 years of marriage. Jack and his sweetheart lived in Hayden Lake, Idaho and most recently Spokane, Washington. Jack very much enjoyed spending time with his family at their cabin on Pend Oreille River, traveling in their motor home, and of course his 1953 Hudson Hornet, which he loved restoring and driving around to show off - he was very proud of it. Most of all, Jack loved his work in construction where he operated cranes and other heavy equipment. He was very proud of his family owned businesses, "MJM GRAND, INC.", a local construction company since 1984 which he owned and operated with his son Mike and son-in-law Mark, and "Highland Quarry." He is survived by his darling wife and sweetheart, Shirley; daughter Jenny Schuetzle (Mark); son Mike Evenoff (Debbie); grandchildren Ty Schuetzle (Chelsea), Jay Schuetzle (Kristina with baby Sophia due December 2, 2012), Catie Schuetzle, Kaila Evenoff and Bo Schuetzle (Fiance Renee); great-grandchildren Halle and Emery Schuetzle; other loving family members, John Bombino (brother-in-law), Jeannie Rosenau and Jerri Evenoff (both sisters-in-law) and several aunts, nieces, nephews, and cousins. Jack was an amazing husband, father and pop - he will be greatly missed. A memorial service will be held at Heritage Funeral Home on Tuesday, October 2, 2012 at 2 pm. Please make a memorial contribution in Jack's name to Hospice of Spokane.

Dear Shirley, I am so sorry you have lost your wonderful husband, Jack. I only met him 1-2 times when I was working your gardens and he was always delightful to talk with. May your family and the memories you all have help you bear with your loss.
