Grandpa I will always remember your kind spirit & how happy you always were! You were also such a jokester, always kidding around with me or giving me a hard time about being late because I always am! Hee hee I can hear you laugh now though :-) I'll never forget dancing with you at Whitney's wedding, you were swinging me around like a young man in his 20's, you had so much energy & quite the dance moves! I'm so glad your great grandson Elijah had the opportunity to meet you before you went to heaven & he even said "great grandpa Jack" for the first time right before you left this world. He still says your name now :-) you will always be remembered & remain in our hearts forever. We're so fortunate to have had you in our lives for as many years as we did! I know you're in a better place now where you feel no pain & only have pure joy & happines. Most likely you're up there dancing with all our other loved ones :-) we will miss you & we love you so much! Hugs & of course kisses from all of us!

Jack has gone to a better place where he knows only happiness, and from where he will watch over his extended family down here on Earth. You have not lost him, but gained a Patron Saint.

Dear Dad,
I am so proud you are my dad, the greatest man I ever knew! I just want to thank you for all your love and guidance you gave me throughout my life. You taught me how to love others and always carry a smile upon my face and be joyful no matter how difficult life can be at times. You gave me that zest for life and love for others. When you entered a room you filled it with laughter with your spirit of joy that you couldn't help but notice. It was evident when listening to all your friends speak of you. You always had a kind word for any given person you came across. You genuinely loved others as yourself....
You taught me right from wrong and I practice that still today...
You taught me how to try anything once as would you and not be afraid to fail. I still remember my first sled underneath the beautifully flocked Christmas tree that you and mom would make so so pretty.
You always made time to play with your kids you shoveled the snow off the roof so we could jump off and sleigh...make snowmen, angels and snow ice cream... I remember it so well I even saved that recipe so one day I could tell... We camped by the Ocean and you would wake us up at the crack of dawn to dig for clams which I got not a one! You taught us how to swim like the critters in the sea and we would never want to get out until it was time to leave, by that time our hands were shriveled like prunes water logged you'd call it and we'd laugh like goons! I remember learning how to water ski at Priest Lake when I was 12 and then we'd go to Uncle Chuck and Aunt Barbara's cabin at Twin Lakes on 4th of July and try our luck at dropping one ski and try and try and try! We would let off fireworks galore down by the bonfire close to the lake shore, roast hot dogs, marshmallows and of course smore's! Yes dad we had so much fun! Then you made us track stars and attended all our meets, we traveled near and far in our big green car.. so many memories!!!
You walked me down the longest aisle that one proud July day almost 30 years ago to date!
You were there when both my children were born. Then you came to support at many of their games whether it be football, baseball, basketball or gymnastics you enjoyed attending them all! Thank you dad for loving them as well! You were a proud grandpa from this I could tell! They loved you too very much.... Now daddy your battle is over and your are no longer weak for this I am comforted but yet feel so meek. I will miss you my dad my angel... our time together will always be memorable and never long enough...but the most precious thing to me was you being there for my first breath and me being there for your last!!! I love you and will miss you dad forever until that one day we shall meet again! With all my heart your loving daughter, Lori

Jack, I will always remember your wonderful smile and how easy it was to make you laugh. You had a Handshake of Steel and a Heart of Gold.
I will also remember when you kicked a 40yd field goal at Seahawks camp when you were well into your 70's.
