Jack Nelson

Sad news. I just found out he had died by reading his obituary today. He lived in only a block away and we were very close friends growing up in Spokane. I moved far away a long time ago and we have been out of touch for a few years. But I did visit him in Seattle when Lynne was still alive.

I taught with Jack at Woodinville H.S. and he was the funniest teacher I had the pleasure to know. Speaking of his love of cars, he tried to sell me one while I was there! What a kick. So sorry to hear of his passing.

I met Jack in high school at Ferris in Spokane. He had a great sense of humor and he could always put a unique spin on a difficult time or what one thought was a difficult time. I always enjoyed spending time with Jack in numerous classes at Ferris and because of the relative closeness of the spelling of our last names we often found ourselves sitting close to each other. Jack had a great sense of humor. My condolences to his family and to his many friends and especially to those many students whom I know he was able to have a positive impact in their lives.

My condolences on his passing. Mr. Saad was one of the reasons I became a High School History Teacher! I loved how enthusiastic and fun he was. He made history interesting. I learned so much from him and often still think about him. Some of his words I can still hear in my head. Probably one of the only teachers I can remember after graduating in 1999. Rest easy Mr. Saad, and I hope your wife greeted you with open arms when you reunited with her. Thank you for being so instrumental in my life and teaching career. I wish I would have been able to tell you this and thank you for your service. Your legacy will live on in my memories.
