Jacob CLARKE Obituary
Spokane - Jacob Richard Clarke, 39, of Spokane, Washington, passed away on July 26, 2024.
Jacob was born on August 2, 1984, to Harold and Heidi Clarke in Spokane, WA. After Jacob graduated from Shadle Park High School in 2003, he went on to Washington State University and Eastern Washington University.
Jacob loved the outdoors, watersports, and playing frisbee with his brothers. He was naturally athletic and worked as a lifeguard in high school. If he wasn't working, he would be found at his family lake house swimming and wakeboarding. Jacob had a playful spirit that his nieces adored, and he was always up for any game. He loved music and movies and enjoyed listening to a variety of great artists and sharing his favorite movie recommendations. He was an Eagle Scout and a bright, sensitive person who loved his friends and relatives.
Jacob was predeceased by his daughter, Marleigh Elise Clarke. He is survived by his parents, Harold and Heidi Clarke; his siblings, Katie Windle (Paul), Ben Clarke (Heidi), and Ethan Clarke (Christa); and his six nieces.
A gathering to remember Jacob will be held at the Southside Senior Center, 3151 E. 27th Ave., on Saturday, August 3, 2024, from 2-4pm. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Childhood Cancer Coalition (www.cccnw.org) in memory of his daughter, Marleigh.

Harold & Heidi,
Today we learned the sad news of Jacob's passing. Our son, Ross, and Jacob were wonderful friends and had planned to be roommates at WSU if they both went there. They worked together at Rocky's Pizza before Ross moved to Bellingham in 2006. Ross spent his last night in Spokane with Jacob, before he moved away. They were both eagle scouts and had a lot in common.
Losing a child must bring unimaginable pain and sorrow, and we wish to express our sincerest condolences to you and your family.
