James ALMA Obituary

I suppose it is no surprise, but I James Alma from Spokane, Washington have passed away. I passed peacefully with my daughter Diana at my side on September 1, 2023 at 12:45 am. I leave behind my daughter, Diana Sue Kautzman, her husband Danny, and my grandchildren Austin (Maddie) and Brianna (Noah). I also leave behind my wife's family who mean the world to me.

I graduated from Burnettsville High School far from being an honor student. Didn't make it past 4 quarters of college, but managed to graduate from the Spokane Police Academy in 1968.

I spent 28 years as a Deputy Sheriff with the Spokane Sheriff's Department and another 8 as Curt Security Officer at the Spokane Federal Court House.

I finally have that youthful look again with a full head of hair….as I have been cremated. I will be resting with my wife Karen near my boys in Fairmount Memorial Park, not far from where I trained on a Sheriff's motor in the Joe Albi Stadium parking lot.

Please come celebrate my life with all my family and thank you for sharing my life with me. -Love, Jim
