James FELICE Obituary
James F. Felice was born to Joseph Felice and Theresa Oliveri on October 11, 1928 and died on August 28, 2021. He grew up in Spokane, Washington as the youngest of three children.
Known to many as Jimmy, he had a zest for life and lived it on his terms. He was extremely loyal, very social, and loved working any room he entered and any event he attended. He loved getting dressed up, sharing a good meal, and visiting with old friends and quickly making new ones before announcing "nice little session" before making his exit.
James graduated from North Central High School in 1946, where his interests were sports, sports and sports. He went on to graduate from Eastern Washington State College with a degree in education.
He began his career at Blair Elementary, where he taught sixth grade. Later, he went into the insurance business and eventually formed a partnership in Farmin Rothrock, and Parrott Insurance Company. He had a very successful career in insurance well into his eighties, ending his career with Connor Kelly Insurance.
James married Charlotte Kientzene Martin and they had one daughter, Melinda. His twin granddaughters, Katelyn and Taylor, more commonly referred to as "his little angels", were the greatest joy of his life, as were all of his family. He considered all of his nieces and nephews his sons and daughters.
Besides his family, his other great love was sports. He talked incessantly about the Bulldogs, Gonzaga University's men's basketball team. He loved GU basketball, but he also enjoyed football and baseball.
James is preceded in death by his parents and both of his sisters: Mary (Linebarger) Groo and Elizabeth (Betty Spatafore) Thompson. He is survived by his daughter Melinda (Patrick Jr.) Kenney; granddaughters Katelyn and Taylor Kenney; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Mass will be held on Saturday, October 2, 2021 at 1:00 pm at St. Thomas More Catholic Church, 515 West St. Thomas More Way, Spokane, Washington. A reception will immediately follow at the Kalispel Golf and Country Club.
Memorials can be made to Catholic Charities or Hospice of Spokane.

I am so sorry to hear of the passing of Jim. I worked for him at Farmin Rothrock and Parrott. I was in my early 20's when I started working for them and he used to terrify me! It did not take long for me to realize that his bark was worse than his bite. I really enjoyed working for him. My condolences to his daughter and granddaughters and all his close friends that will miss him. He was a great, generous man and I know he will be missed. Rest in peace Jim.

Jimmy was a kind and generous man. So blessed to be his friend and coworker for over 20 years. He lit up any room he was in, knew everyone, and was as loyal a person as I have ever known.
Every afternoon as he was leaving work he would say. Suze - I´ma heading up the hill! Jimmy, I will see you there soon

I will always remember Jimmy at all the Christmas gathering at the Spatafores on Cowley , when i was just a kid, He will be missed by many, Rest in peace cousin.
