James KOSOFF Obituary

KOSOFF, James Paul James Paul Kosoff, born 09/04/1948 to Paul and Creta Kosoff, passed away on Monday November 19th at Sacred Heart hospital in Spokane WA after a long hard fought battle with cancer. Jim was born in Aberdeen, WA and grew up on the East Hoquiam Rd., where he attended Wishkah High School. Jim worked on the harbor for a number of years as a shop foreman, diesel mechanic, and welder. In 1994 he moved to the Spokane area where he met and married Julie Cole Crites. He is survived by his loving wife Julie; his children, James (Leanne) Kosoff, Michael (Lori), Kosoff, Brandan (Christine) Kosoff, Kurtis Kosoff, Dan (Angie) Crites, Andy Crites; sister Dottie Wakefield; seven grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and many dear family and friends. Jim was preceded in death by his father Paul Kosoff, mother Creta Kosoff, and siblings Richard Goheen, Helen Goheen, and Dorothy LaVassar. Jim loved the outdoors. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and camping. He also enjoyed helping to raise his great-grandson A.J. Crites and teaching him hunting and fishing skills. A memorial service will be held on December 8th at 3:30 pm at the Happy Home Church; 5039 Hattery Rd., Deer Park WA. A celebration of Life will be held immediately following the service.
