James SCHRACK Obituary

September 28, 1942 - February 23, 2025

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of James Allen Schrack on February 23, 2025, at the age of 82. Jim was born on September 28, 1942, in Sellersville, Pennsylvania, to Merrill and Alice Schrack.

Jim leaves behind his beloved wife, Nancy, with whom he shared a lifetime of memories. He is also survived by his children, son, Stephen Schrack, granddaughters, Sydney and Stephanie, great-grandson, David; daughter, Jamie Kemmerer (Eric), granddaughter, Kiersten and grandson, Kolby; and daughter, Suzie Gaylord (Joe), grandson, Owen and granddaughter, Addison. He also leaves behind his brother, Kenneth Schrack and wife, Deborah; along with his dear cousin, William Michener; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Jim was a veteran of the United States Air Force, where he served from 1961-1964 in Darmstadt, Germany, and Northeast Cape Air Force Station in Alaska. He married Nancy Lee Burke in 1975 and lived in Mission Viejo, California, before moving to Pennsylvania in 1978, where he owned and operated Eastern Weighing Systems. His hobbies included hunting, camping, dirt bikes, and skiing. He was a member of the American Legion Kraft Post 255 in Sellersville for 47 years.

Jim and Nancy moved to the family farm in Fruitland, Washington, in 1992, where he was employed in the insurance industry and later self-employed as a financial advisor. During his time in Fruitland, he belonged to the Masonic Lodge of Kettle Falls, VFW Post 1435, and spent numerous years on the school board for Columbia School District in Hunters, Washington.

In 2017, Jim and Nancy moved to Spokane Valley, Washington. He enjoyed playing golf and attending his grandkids' sporting events.

A celebration of life will be held at 11 am, on Thursday, March 6, 2025, at Cedonia Church (Hunters, Washington), where family and friends will gather to share their love and fond memories. Jim will be remembered fondly in the Huck family. We were not only clients but friends as well. We met Jim through my husband's parents Joe and Marie Huck who were clients as well as long time friends. We loved to hear of stories of his kids an grandkids. He loved them all dearly and was very proud of each and every one. Nancy was the love of his life and he told us repeatedly that she was the one who wore the pants in the family. Jim treated people as he wanted to be treated, with care, kindness and love. We will miss you friend. Until we meet again... Larry and Nancy Huck. XXOO
