Larry Brent Schrack
July 30, 2025
With heavy hearts and deep gratitude for a beautiful life lived, we announce the passing of Larry Brent Schrack ~ lovingly known as Larry B, Daddy, Pops, and Grand Daddy. Larry passed away on Wednesday, July 30th, 2025, at the age of 72, surrounded by the family he so deeply cherished.
Larry had a personality larger than life~ magnetic, quick-witted, wise, and deeply loyal. He left a lasting impression on everyone he met. Friends of his children, neighbors, co-workers ~ everyone knew Grand Daddy. He was the man people turned to for advice, a laugh, a story, or help with one of the many "Daddy Do" lists. If something needed fixing, building, or figuring out ~ Larry was the one you called.
He shared 54 beautiful years with the love of his life, Janice Schrack, his wife, best friend, and true partner in every sense. They were just one day shy of their anniversary when he passed, a poignant reminder of a love that stood the test of time. Together, they built a home rooted in warmth, humor, loyalty, and devotion.
Larry was a proud father to Stacy, Brent, and Matthew, and a loving father-in-law to Lisa (Brent's wife, who adored Larry since she was 14) and Glenn (Stacy's husband, who joined the family at 18 and never looked back) and Christy. His children carry his spirit, his work ethic, his wit, and his unwavering love in everything they do.
Perhaps nothing brought Larry more joy than being a grandfather. His three grandchildren~ McKenna, Ayden, and Pierce ~ each carry a piece of his legacy: McKenna with her love of classic cars and timeless music; Ayden with his passion for flight; and Pierce with his inquisitive mind and sharp humor. Through them, Larry's presence will continue to shine.
Born and raised in Kentucky, Larry attended Bryan Station High School. He went on to serve his country with honor as a Staff Sergeant in the U.S. Army, where he developed the discipline and quiet strength that became his trademark.
Following his military service, Larry found his calling in the trades, becoming a master electrician and craftsman. He spent decades in the high-end home building industry ~ his precision and pride in his work evident in every job he completed. His craftsmanship wasn't just a career; it was an extension of who he was. Every project he touched bore his unmistakable care and expertise.
Larry had a deep love for the outdoors. Whether in the woods hunting, out on the water fishing, or in his garden at home, he found peace and joy in nature. He treasured family vacations to Mexico, full of laughter, stories, and his famous farewell line: "They will never see me again!" ~ a quote that brings a knowing smile to everyone who's heard the story.
He was preceded in death by his loving parents, Lawrence and Hazel Schrack, and reunited at Heaven's gates with a joyful welcome from the family's cherished pets: Timothy, Tobias, Cee Cee, Namee, Tucker, Cletus, Sydney, and Joe Joe ~ each waiting to greet the man who loved them so dearly.
Larry was the steady hand in the storm, the quiet laugh in the background, the one who always showed up. He lived his life with integrity, generosity, and unwavering love. He didn't need to say much to be understood. His presence alone offered comfort, wisdom, and the kind of calm that only a truly good man can give.
He will be deeply missed and forever remembered by his beloved Janice, their children and grandchildren, and all who had the privilege to know him. His legacy lives on in the lives he touched, the homes he built, and the love he gave so freely.
We love you forever.
