Daniel Dombroski Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Care Cremation & Funeral Service - Eastland Drive on Feb. 3, 2026.
Daniel Joseph "Dan" Dombroski, age 90, or as Dan would say in his 91st year, passed away peacefully on January 28, 2026, in Lexington, Kentucky. He was the husband of the late Elizabeth "Bette" Mathis Dombroski.

Born on June 8, 1935, in Evergreen Park, Illinois, Dan built a life marked by dedication to his family, his work, and his community. He spent his professional career in the printing industry, where he was known for his leadership and entrepreneurial spirit. As co-owner of Professional Printing Co. and later as president and owner of Print Master, Inc., Dan left a lasting mark on the field through his commitment to quality and service.

Dan was deeply involved in civic and fraternal organizations throughout his life. He was a longtime member and past president of the Fayette Lions Club, where he contributed to numerous community initiatives. His faith and values were also reflected in his role as a 4th degree member of the Knights of Columbus. He was an active member of Pax Christi Catholic Church.

A passionate sports enthusiast, Dan especially enjoyed cheering on the Chicago Bears and the University of Kentucky football and basketball teams. Whether watching games with friends or family or following other sporting events, he found great joy in the camaraderie and excitement of athletics.

Dan was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Elizabeth. He is survived by four children: Cathy (Fred) Vickers, Dawn (Kevin) Bozee, Dolores (Gary) Skaggs, and Daniel Dombroski Jr.; nine grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. His legacy lives on through them and all who knew him.

May his memory bring comfort to those who knew him. Visitation and Mass will be held on Thursday, February 12, 2026. Visitation is from 9:30-11 am with Mass following at Pax Christi Catholic Church, 4001 Victoria Way, Lexington, Kentucky.

Memorial donations are suggested to the Kentucky Lions Eye Foundation or Pax Christi Catholic Church.
