Timothy Schrack Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by John B. Brown Funeral Home, Inc. on Apr. 2, 2025.
Timothy Lee Schrack Sr., 63, of Mapleton Depot, Cass Township, died at his home on Friday, March 28, 2025, surrounded by his family. Born May 20, 1961, in State College, he was the son of the late Rob and Pamela (Guisler) Schrack. He was united in marriage to the former Christine S. Chilcote at St. James Evangelical Lutheran Church on May 9, 1992. His wife survives at their home.
Also surviving are his sons, Timothy "T.J." L. Schrack Jr. and his companion Alisha Gladfelter of McConnellsburg, and Dustin T. Schrack and his companion Taylor Werner of Huntingdon. Surviving also is his sister Lesley Saleme and her husband, Keith, of Duncansville, and their daughter Cassidy Saleme of Altoona. Tim was very much looking forward to the arrival of his first grandchild.
After graduating from Huntingdon Area High School in 1979, Tim joined the family business, Schrack Realty, in Huntingdon. There he advanced from Realtor to broker, and then to owner in 2013. He was also a licensed real estate appraiser.
He had been member of many civic, sportsmen, and professional organizations including the Huntingdon County Chamber of Commerce, Kiwanis Club of Huntingdon, Huntingdon County Visitors Bureau, Huntingdon County Republicans, Ducks Unlimited, North American Hunting Retriever Association, and the American Kennel Club. He was a member and past president of both Huntingdon County Business & Industry and the Huntingdon County Board of Realtors. In addition, he served on the board of Huntingdon Savings Bank.
Tim was a diehard do-it-yourselfer. When not at work or undertaking a DIY project, he enjoyed spending time with his family and being outdoors-hunting, fishing and boating on Raystown Lake. He raised beef cattle and also bred and trained Labrador Retrievers
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 5, at Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Huntingdon, with Pastor Bryan Spang officiating. Friends will be received at the church from 11 a.m. until the beginning of the service at noon.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
