Jason Hansen Obituary

HANSEN, Jason Edward "Wild Thing" (Age 23) October 29,1986, Yakima WA March 29, 2010, Spokane, WA God entrusted Sara Coup and Mike Hansen (preceded in death), with this wonderful gift of a son, Jason. He was excitedly welcomed into the family by his brother, Ryan Hansen. He was also privileged to have Tracy Hansen and Dave Coup play large roles in his life. Jason spent his years being a fabulous hockey goalie, skate boarder and snow boarder. Some of his favorite memories were times spent at Porcupine Bay with family, traveling with his hockey teams and hanging out with his "buds". Jason was surrounded by love from a large extended family. He had great dreams of one day being a business owner, but that was interrupted by an even larger dream, which was to be at peace with the Lord. Jason was loved and will be greatly missed by his aunts, uncles, cousins, grandparents and many friends. A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00AM Monday April 5, 2010 at Life Center Church, 1202 N. Government Way. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to City Church, 1047 W. Garland Spokane 99205 in memory of Jason Hansen, for the transitional housing project. www.heritagefunerals.com

Jason's memorial was a beautiful tribute to a very loved young man - a wonderful affirmation of the love he shared with family and friends, and of the love of Christ who holds him now. Jason, I'll continue to pray for your family & I look forward to meeting you someday in Heaven.

Sara,
There are no words to express my sorrow as there could be no greater loss. Please know that you are in my thoughts and prayers. Jason was very special and unique. He was (a goalie who brought fear to other teams) and has left all who knew him a treasure of memories.
