Jennifer BAUMAN Obituary

A beautiful sparkle in everyone's life, a loving wife and mother of two children, Jennifer Eileen Bauman passed away at the age of 43 on December 24, 2021, after a long battle with cancer.

Jennifer was born on October 18, 1978, to Steve and Mary Glaser. She graduated from Post Falls High School where she participated in many sports. She was an outstanding basketball player, but her passion was always softball. Jennifer was a natural athlete in every way.

September 7, 2000, she married her love, Mathias Bauman. Their first home was at Travis Air Force Base, CA after Mathias joined the Air Force that April. She was a supportive military wife and enjoyed supporting her husband throughout his military career. After six years, they moved to Spokane, WA. While in Spokane, Jennifer worked at MacKay Manufacturing for 10 years. At last, the family found a beautiful home in Cheney, WA where they established roots and made lifelong friends.

Jennifer was a beautiful woman inside and out, and she had a radiant smile that could brighten any room. She was a wonderful mother that strived to give her children the very best that life has to offer. She modeled for them what it looked like to live, laugh, and love unapologetically. Jennifer was never afraid to act like a "dork." Jennifer loved all genres of music, but the Beatles were one of her favorites. One of her favorite pastimes was singing karaoke. Jennifer enjoyed baking, camping, laughing, and spending time with her family and friends. She liked to garden and raise chickens alongside her family as well, but most of all, she enjoyed cheering on her children in their activities. Jennifer's favorite season was fall; she loved the warm, fall colors and scents. There's also little Jen enjoyed more than cake, fresh scones, and Dr. Pepper.

Jennifer is survived by her husband, Mathias, of 21 years, and her children Mathias Jr. (17) and Madison (12), parents Steve and Mary Glaser, sisters Melissa (Caleb) and Maggie (Ryan), her loving in-laws, Dave and Jan Bauman, many aunts and uncles, nieces and nephews, and countless friends.

Despite a long and grueling 10-year battle with cancer, Jennifer created unforgettable memories with her family and friends. She will be dearly missed, but her memory will live on in the lives of her beautiful children and the wonderful husband she leaves behind.

From the bottom of our hearts, we are forever grateful for the doctors, nurses, and numerous medical staff that gave us the greatest gift of more time with our beloved Jennifer.

A memorial of her life will be held on January 8, 2022, at the Cheney Funeral Chapel at 1:00 pm. A Celebration of Life will be at a later date sometime this spring. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating Metavivor.org in Jennifer's memory.
