Jess GLOUSER Obituary

GLOUSER, Jess Grant, Jr.
(Age 96)

Passed away on Friday August 4th, 2017, at 6am PDT, due to heart complications. Jess is survived by his wife of 68 years, Charlotte; his four children Mel Glouser, Pam Wells, Linda McCargar, Jan Guillen and their spouses; nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Jess was inducted May 16, 1942, active duty from August 4, 1944 - February 1, 1946 (honorable discharge), US Army and Air Force. As a young man Jess gave his heart to the Lord, later being baptized while in the service in Karachi, Pakistan. Jess was always an active man, all the way up until the day before he died. He encouraged those around him to hike, bike, walk, and just keep moving. Jess picked up pickleball in Durango, Colorado, while living there. After moving to Spokane, Washington, he joined Hub Sports Center and was their oldest participant. His gifts of coaching and encouraging others, bringing out the best in everyone, was one of his greatest talents. Services will be held on September 22nd at the Veteran's Cemetery, Washington State, 21702 West Espanola Rd., Medical Lake, WA 99022, at 1:30pm sharp. Donations can be made in his memory at Valley Forth Church (509-924-4525) or Hub Sport Center (509-927-0602).
