Auntie Jo had a great influence on me as I was growing up. She was a great artist. I would watch her do retouching and oil painting for hours, when she would take care of me, I remember the camping trips to twin lakes, and the music she played on her accordion, as my dad Lyle would play the bongos and we would all sing. Auntie Jo taught me how to swim, and just have fun. She is one of the strongest, courageous and kind people I think I will ever know. She has a special place in my heart and memory. This lady was a wonderful person and aunt to me. When I was in my teens and not getting along with my parents, she listened to me and gave me good advice. I love her with all my heart. She had my children and sometimes my girlfriends over to swim in her pool. She made us lunches and we all had a great time. My children will never forget the "pool" parties at Aunt Joan's. When I was younger and through the years she was always there for me. We had some great chats on the phone, sometimes lasting for hours. I love you Auntie and I will always miss you.
