Joanne HERRICK Obituary

February 11, 1940 - October 4, 2024

Deer Park - Joanne J. Herrick (age 84), Deer Park, Washington, passed away October 4th, 2024, at her home on Lake Roosevelt in Seven Bays.

Joanne Blaisdell was born February 11th, 1940, in Seattle, Washington, to Hinton and Eugenie Blaisdell.

In 1958, she met and married Howard Herrick, the love of her life, in Spokane, Washington, where they settled and started their family together.

In 1969, they purchased 40 acres of treed property in Deer Park, Washington, where they built a home and raised their three girls, Linda, Cheryl, and Cindy.

Joanne was a homemaker, a fabulous cook, and a talented seamstress. From the time their daughters were very young, Jo used her mother's hand-me-down sewing machine to craft beautiful outfits, dance costumes, prom dresses, and ultimately, wedding dresses for all three daughters.

She loved boating with Howard and their girls, spending summers on Lake Roosevelt, boat camping, teaching the girls how to ski and fish, and enjoying the beauty and joy of summers together with each other and extended family and friends.

She loved her life in Deer Park with her family and her beloved cats, horses, dogs, and various other farm animals.

Joanne was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Howard.

She is survived by her children, Linda Wolf, Cheryl (Mitch) Yoke, and Cindy Giles; seven grandchildren, Ryan (Leah) Yoke, Lance Wolf (Jen Toney), Rachel Yoke, Lucas Wolf, Justin (Lauren) Yoke, Lindsay (Nick) Roberts, and Davis Giles; and seven great-grandchildren, Jenah Wolf, John, Lillian, and Ben Yoke, Allison, Brooklyn, and Cooper Yoke.
