Glenda Rondeau

February 9, 2015

My husband, Jim Rondeau who passed away 9/20/2008, was a close friend to John. John would keep in touch with me because he knew I missed talking to Jim. It was his kindness to his friend Jim and me who had been married for 54-1/2 years. When we were going to the U, John, Mary, Jim and I would get together every friday night for dinner. We lost track of each other when Jim started teaching and they moved to Spokane. John found out that Jim had cancer and located our phone number. He called to speak with Jim frequently. John and Mary would visit us everytime they came to Bellevue. The friendship was renewed. When Mary shockingly passed away so quickly, John was devastated and would call frequently asking how did I learn to deal with the loss. I told him I kept busy with volunteer work. He couldn't do that and I believe he just willed himself to Heaven to be with Mary. He could not live without her. I still have the urge to call John when something new has happened to the Mariners, the Huskies, and the Seahawks. I had to write this brief message so I can face the reality they are both gone. I thank God they no longer feel the pain and are enjoying each other's company. God bless you both for having completed the journey home.
