John YOUNG Obituary

John was born in Spokane on August 16, 1932 and passed away peacefully on February 10, 2024, at the age of 91.

John grew up and attended school in Spokane. After graduating from

North Central High School in 1950, John served in the Air Force during the Korean War.

After service in the Air Force, John returned home and lived in Spokane his entire life.

John was a successful salesman in the electrical manufacturing and supply industry located in Spokane, providing electrical supplies to the Pacific Northwest. He enjoyed playing golf, poker and travelling, including many world wide travels with his wife Mary; among these was a memorable safari in Africa.

John was an active supporter of the Spokane Jets hockey team and a lifelong fan of the Gonzaga Bulldogs.

John was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 43 years, Mary, daughter Debbie, and grandson Cory. He is survived by his children, Sheryl (Keith) Engstrom, David Young, Steven (Marylin) Young, stepdaughters, Karen (Jesse) Cabrera, Lynn

(Ron) Flatow, eleven grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.

At John's request, no services will be held.
