Kathleen PETROVICH Obituary

Sadly, our beloved mother, Kathleen Petrovich, 76, of Cheney, WA, passed away after succumbing to Acute Myeloid Leukemia, at the Hospice House in Spokane, surrounded by her loving family.

Kathleen was born September 18, 1948, to Ralph and Rosella Heagy in Preston, MN. She had a long career in home health care and hospice, ending her career transporting foster children for visitation. Kathleen was a bright light, known for her warmth, kindness, and unwavering spirit.

She was also a homemaker, wife, and a loving mother to her children and nieces and nephews. She was a skilled seamstress, and enjoyed gardening, cooking, and canning. Kathleen's love for her family was her greatest legacy.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Petrovich, and is survived by her children, Shelly Elkins of Oakesdale, WA, Robert Petrovich of Box Elder, SD, and Dominic Petrovich of Rosalia, WA; her 15 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and her many friends who will miss her dearly.

A memorial service will be held on May 28, 2025, at the Sunset Chapel at Fairmount Cemetery in Spokane. Viewing begins at 12:00 PM, with the service and burial proceeding. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Hospice House of Spokane in Kathleen's name.
