Keith SLATER Obituary

In memory of our Friend, Keith Alan Slater, who died on October 3, 2022. Keith was born on March 12, 1956. His family had pre-deceased him. Keith was an intelligent, empathic, wonderful human being, who, unfortunately, suffered from bipolar disease. He loved the outdoors, roller and in-line skating, and cycling. At one time, he held the record in the U.S. for most miles traveled on roller skates in 12 hours. In 1988, he was the NW in-line skating champion. Keith could easily roller-skate 100 miles in a day. He always loved cars, including when he died, a gorgeous bright red Miata. As his friend, Bob Brown said of Keith, he was interested in most anything and everything. All of Keith's friends do and will miss him for a very long time.

I learned a lot about skating from Keith, and his enthusiasm for skating and life itself. Met him in Venice Beach CA - he loved to skate!

Keith was a nice man with a passion for wheels on his feet. He was skated often and was always tinkering with his skates to make them better. He will be missed
