Kerman Lewis Love, Born April 12, 1937, in Garfield, Washington, to Thomas Warren (TW) and Ella Marie Kerkman Love. Kerman passed away peacefully into the loving arms of our Lord on Tuesday, September 30, 2025, in Spokane, Washington. Graduating with many honors from Garfield High School in 1955, Kerman received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Agricultural Science from Washington State College in 1959. He was a member of the Beta-Theta-Pi Fraternity. He received the USAF Commission from ROTC upon graduation. After college he entered the U.S. Air Force, honorably serving his country as the Administration Officer in the 325th Armament and Electronics Maintenance Squadron at McChord Air Force Base in Tacoma, WA. On June 11, 1961, Kerman and Holly Jo Barker were married, in Spokane, WA. Together they raised four boys and enjoyed 64 years of marriage. Kerm had a career as an Executive Corporate Production Manager for Del Monte Foods; he also held several responsibilities outside of Delmonte. Delmonte Transferred Kerman and family throughout his Career to four states, West Coast and Midwest, plus three times within the same state. They gained many lasting friendships wherever they went. Wherever Kerm worked or served, he made everyone feel seen, known and valued. He knew how to relate to all people. He loved the Lord, and his family. He had a passion for landscaping, gardening, rearranging homes with many home improvements and finishing projects, bird hunting, fishing, and kite flying. He so enjoyed being part of all son's activities, and many grandkids' activities near and far. Kerm sang in many choirs, participated in Bible Study groups, along with Holly. He was a leader in the churches he attended.
He is survived by his loving wife, Holly (Barker) Love; four sons, Scott (Betsy) Love, Todd (Sally) Love, John (Kristina) Love, Ryan (Melissa) Love; three sisters, Velma Johnson, Cheryl (Ed) Allender, Anita (Bob) Allison; a brother-in-law, Ed (Barb) Barker; 14 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Celebration of Life is Saturday, November 22, 2025, 1:00 p.m., at Rockwood South Event Center, 2903 E. 25th Ave., Spokane, WA.
