Lamont PEARSON Obituary

August 10, 1947 - April 12, 2025

Lamont (Monte) Eldon Pearson, age 77 of Richland, Washington, passed peacefully at home on April 12, 2025.

Monte was born in Spokane Washington to Eldon and Fern Pearson. He attended Cheney High School. Monte lettered in baseball and football. Monte graduated in 1965 and later became a member of the Air National Guard. Monte married his high school sweetheart, Diana (Dee Dee) Montague, in 1968. Monte worked for PNW Bell (Qwest) for his entire career and retired as a Construction Manager.

Monte loved aviation and was a private pilot for much of his adult life. During that time, he built two airplanes, a Wag-A-Bond and an RV-6. After he retired from flying, Monte became interested in classic cars and over the course of several years restored a 1962 Impala.

Monte and Dee Dee also spent several years wintering in Arizona during their retirement. While in Arizona, Monte really enjoyed trap shooting with his group of friends.

Monte is survived by his wife, Dee Dee; two sons, Trevor and Sean Pearson; daughter-in-law, Dana Pearson and four grandchildren, Allie and Kaylie Pearson, and Cody and Victoria Pearson.

There will be a memorial for the family on April 26th, at 1:00 PM, at 461 Wishkah Dr. Richland, Washington 99352.
