Laurie Fleming Obituary

FLEMING, Laurie Lee (Age 50) Our beloved mother, grandmother, sister and daughter left this life to begin a new journey on June 15, 2010.She was born July 16, 1959in Yakima, WA the daughter of Roy and Vivian (Forvilly) Heasley. Laurie always put others before herself, even when she had little or nothing to give. She was strong when we were weak, listened when we talked, and had advice when we needed direction. She was a passionate and fun person to be around. She always had a funny story and a warm laugh to share. Nothing brought her more joy in this life than her grandchildren, escaping to see them every chance she got. She is now at peace, leaving us with countless memories to cherish. We love you so very much, and will continue to hold you in our hearts forever. Laurie is survived by her mother Vivian Heasley; siblings Mike and Greg Heasley and Linda Miller; daughters Jolene Fleming and Mandy Ostheller; and her "very special" grandchildren Trevin, Kadence and Briana Ostheller. You are invited to join Laurie's family for a reception on Thursday, June 17, 2010 from 2-4pm at Hennessey Smith Funeral Home.Memorial contributions are suggested to S.C.R.A.P.S., 2521 North Flora Road, Spokane, WA 99216. Mandy and Jolene and familys...my thought and prayers are with you. I remember a time when Mandy your class was to make cakes to sell at basketball and Anna came running to me at the last minute and I said no. Your mother said that wasn't ok and baked a cake for her last minute. She always gave away so much and thought of herself last. Love you Mandy and you family.

Dear Mandy, Jolene and family,

I am so deeply saddened by your tremendous loss. Laurie was such a blessing to our family as she gave so much of herself in caring for my parents. I will always be grateful for the time we were blessed to have Laurie in our lives. I pray for you daily, asking the Good Lord to give you his peace that passes all understanding as you treasure the good memories.

My thoughts and prayers are with her family, I used to work at Orchard Crest and Laurie came in as a caregiver for one of the residents I cleaned for and we would visit. Hearing of your loss really was hard. Take care, Verna Crooks Sandburg

Jolene & Mandy...when I heard today about your mother's passing, it was hard to comprehend. She babysat for me when I worked at P.F.I. many many years ago. I thought she was a wonderful person and I am so sad for your loss and your children's loss.
I hope through time your hearts will heal and you can once again smile and laugh when you think of your mom without shedding tears.
I truly am so sorry.
