Leroy VOLESKY Obituary

November 8, 1938 - August 29, 2025

(Age 87)

Spokane Valley - Born in Spokane, Washington, attended high school at Gonzaga Prep, served two years in the Navy, and worked for 46 years at Columbia Lighting. He was a devoted member of Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church.

Lee will be remembered as a quiet man, devoted Zags fan, and a golfer since age 12.

He is survived by his fiancée of 28 years, Mary Barker; sister-in-law, Ayako Tanaka; nieces, Tami Tanaka, Tina Winebarger and Katy Ferger; and nephews, Chris Tanaka, Mike Winebarger, and Bobby Kihara. He was blessed with the love and attention from Tiffany, Rick, and Virginia.

The family wishes to thank his internist Dr. Rita Snow, the staff on 10 Tower at Deaconess Medical Center, and Jonathan, who met us daily with a smile and a hug. We also wish to thank the staff at Sullivan Park Care Center, who lovingly cared for Lee at the end of his life.

There will be a private graveside service at Greenwood Cemetery – Cherry Blossom Lane, with family only.
