Linda Louise Simmons, aged 73, passed away on December 20th, 2025 in Spokane, Washington after a 7 year battle with cancer. She was born on July 28th, 1952 in Anchorage, Alaska to her parents Jim and Betty Grow. She is survived by her husband Ron Simmons, her sisters Vicki Mills Barnhill (Bill) and Lori Grossklaus (Gary), her children Jennifer Simmons and John Simmons, her grandchildren Jourdan, Dylan, Ashlyn, Jackson, Guy, Raelyn, Izabella, Nick, and Kameron, and 6 great-grandchildren along with 3 more that she did not get to meet. She is preceded in death by her parents Jim and Betty Grow, her brother-in-law Earl Mills, her son Jeffrey Simmons and her grandchildren Kelli and Chelsea. Linda was the embodiment of love and understanding. Anyone that knew her would speak only of her kindness and empathy, she had the ability to make the people around her feel seen and understood. Linda saw the good in all people and always treated them as though that was all she saw. She spent much of her life as a Christian, but found it was better to love God in her own way. She studied Buddhism and believed strongly in doing no harm and cultivating good in the world around her. The world suffered a tremendous loss with her passing, although only the people close to her know the true depth of that loss. She was a beautiful person, inside and out, and will be deeply missed. The memorial service will be at a later date as Linda wished for us to throw a party to celebrate her life rather than hold a traditional service. In lieu of flowers or donations, we ask that you go out and cultivate good in your community by loving thy neighbor, make a positive impact on someone's life in honor of Linda.

So very sorry to hear of Linda's passing. Unfortunately, I haven't seen Linda since high school. We attended grade school thru high school, together. Linda was always fun to be around. She had a beautiful smile and was liked by everyone. We also attended the same church growing up. Rest in peace Linda, heaven got a beautiful soul
