Linnie STERNITZKY Obituary

Linnie Katheine Sternitzky, age 94, passed away of natural causes on May 28, 2024, in Spokane Valley. Linnie was born on January 14, 1930, in Valentine, Nebraska, to Frances E. Hunt & Levi Nicholas Clabaugh. Linnie was preceded in death by her parents; nine of her 10 siblings; her first husband, Floyd Townsend; her second husband, Theam; her daughters, Anita and Victoria; her stepson, Jimmie; and several nieces and nephews. She is survived by her brother, Vic Overman; her children, Cheryl, Janice, and William; and her stepchildren, Nancy, Linda, Janelle, Ray, and Rose Ann. Linnie was, at her essence, a mother, a grandmother, a great-grandmother, an aunt and a childcare provider. The funeral services for Linnie will begin with on Monday, June 3, 2024, at Heritage Funeral and Cremation with a period of public visitation from 12:00 p.m. – 1:00 p.m., followed by a funeral service at 1:30p.m. Linnie will be laid to rest with her husband, Theam, at the Riverside Memorial Park Cemetery, in Spokane, WA, at 2:30 p.m. A celebration of Linnie's life will be held at Dos Amigos in Spokane Valley after the internment. A special thanks to all the people who cared for Mom at Brighton Court Memory Care and the fabulous team at Horizon Hospice & Palliative Care. Heaven got another angel on May 28th. She took her last breath peacefully and went on to reunite with family and friends who preceded her. She will forever be in our hearts and hugely missed by all of those she touched. Heritage Funeral and Cremation is entrusted with Linnie's care.
