Lloyd Leo Stanley Jr., born on April 8, 1948, in Princeton, Missouri, and passed away September 3, 2025, in Spokane, WA. Lloyd leaves behind a legacy of love, dedication, and creativity. In 1963, Lloyd moved with his family from Missouri to Luverne, Minnesota, where he graduated from high school in 1966.
Following his graduation, Lloyd enlisted in the Air Force and was stationed at Fairchild Air Force Base in Spokane, Washington. During his service, he was deployed to Guam, as part of the Security Forces detail. After his honorable discharge, Lloyd returned to Spokane, Washington, and married Mary "Anne" McIntyre on March 27, 1971. Together, they raised two children, Michael and Sarah.
Lloyd had a passion for photography, which he pursued at Spokane Falls Community College. Additionally, Lloyd had an impressive artistic talent with a keen eye for detail. His love for design led him to a fulfilling career at Ross Printing Company, where he made significant contributions over the years. In addition to his professional commitments, Lloyd shared his love for photography and the artistic arts with family, friends and the Spokane community. He found joy in sharing his stunning images with everyone. One of his photographs was featured in an Avista Utilities advertisement.
Lloyd is survived by his son, Michael (and wife Jeni) of Spokane, Washington; his daughter, Sarah (and husband Steve Germain) of Spokane, Washington; sisters Sharon Granke, Phyllis Sutton, and Donna Mauer (husband Steve); and one brother, Tommy Stanley (wife Barb). He also leaves behind many nieces and nephews; as well as his grandson, Roland Germain; granddaughter, Madison Stanley (decd.); and bonus grandchildren, Makenna Carr (husband Sean Carr), Kylee Gillis (husband Aaron Gillis), and Luke Marsh.
Lloyd's memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. The family is deeply appreciative of the kind and thoughtful staff at Spokane Veterans Home for providing support and care to Lloyd and so many deserving veterans.
