Loren Lee FARIS

1941 - 2024

Loren Lee Faris, age 83, of Spokane, passed away on June 8th, 2024. Loren was born March 16th, 1941, in Spokane, WA, to parents Leo Muncy Faris and Myrtle Irene Hawkins. He graduated from Central Valley High School and went on to earn his degree in Business Administration at the University of Washington. In the late 1960's he moved from Seattle, WA, to San Diego, CA, and accepted a position as an Executive Administrator which led him to owning and operating several senior living facilities.

Loren married Cheryl Dines in 1965 and the couple had 4 children together. He continued to be an outstanding father, business owner, and provider for his family. This never stopped throughout his life as he was always there for everyone. Loren semi-retired and relocated with his family back to his hometown of Spokane, WA, in 1994. He thrived in commercial real estate where he served and accommodated local business owners as well as supporting his community's economy. Loren never fully retired and worked hard up until the day of his passing. Loren's life revolved around his family and his close-knit friends. His hobbies included softball, racquetball, hunting, fly fishing, baseball, coaching, golf, the daily newspaper, and family trips to Hawaii and Spirit Lake. Let's not forget his liking for solitaire and his evening gin and tonics on the patio. His family and friends will always remember him as an intelligent and generous man of faith.

Loren is survived by his wife Cheryl of 58 years, his daughters, Marnie, Melanie, Molly, and his son Joey. He was blessed with 7 grandchildren, Tanner, Cole, Hanna, Sophie, Mason, Ellie, and Isabella. He was preceded in death by his parents Leo and Myrtle, as well as his sister, Patti. The family would like to thank Lisa and Alice from Love in Home Senior Care and the 5th floor Progressive Care Unit at Holy Family Hospital. In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent to St. Jude's Research Organization.

A Viewing will be held on Friday, June 28th, 2024, from 2PM – 5PM and a Funeral Service on Saturday, June 29th, 2024, at 1PM at Heritage Funeral Home, 508 N. Government Way, Spokane, WA 99224.
